Apache Sidewinder Skis/Marker MX 12 Bindings
Well-rounded skiers will love the all-mountain capabilities of the hard-charging K2 Apache Sidewinder skis. With a slight preference for groomers, the Sidewinders can also blast through crud and float the soft snow. Torsion Box design utilizes a Triaxial-braided wood core to create a high degree of responsiveness, forgiveness and energy transfer. Fir/aspen wood core is inherently strong and durable, and it produces a smooth, natural flex. Triaxial braiding wraps an interlocking fiberglass weave around the wood core providing torsional stiffness, responsive turning and sensitivity. Cap construction envelops the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski, keeping overall weight light and durability high. MOD technology features an elastomeric secondary core which works as a high-performance suspension and damping system. MOD technology doesn't affect flex, allowing the skis to bend freely while absorbing vibrations and increasing power, forgiveness and performance. MOD Monic damping technology reduces unwanted vibrations at their source, creating a perfect balance between liveliness and damping. K2/MX integrated binding system transfers power directly to the ski for unmatched precision and control during aggressive descents. Lightweight Marker Inter-Pivot heel has a wide footprint, transferring power directly to ski's edges for excellent carving performance. Imbedded hubs in the core of the ski are a wide 50mm apart, decreasing the distance between the binding and ski edge for added performance. Marker Biometric toe features channels that unalign during backward twisting falls to immediately reduce the upward release force. Stainless-steel anti-friction device allows essential lateral boot movement despite the condition of dirty or worn soles or negative sliding friction. Ideally suited for 60% groomed and 40% ungroomed skiing.
