Call it superstition. For six generations, the blocks on the Gundlach Bundschu family vineyard have conspicuously skipped from #12 to #14. When they set out to create wines sourced from fine vineyards along the North Coast, they insisted they reflect their commitment to quality at home, and therefore give them the honorary designation of their missing block. Block 13 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced primarily from Alexander Valley to create a lush, approachable wine.. Opulent, juicy blackberry, cassis and fig flavors, laced with hickory smoke and vanilla. The broad, mouth filling fruit is framed by silky tannins that lead to a long, plush finish. This approachable Cabernet has the balance to be enjoyed young, and the structure and complexity to continue to improve with age.

This is a rare and exciting release. We only bottle T-bar-T Cabernet Franc in exceptional vintages. So far, there have been four bottlings in 30 years. Production is very limited.

In 2001, our Cabernet Sauvignon benefited from the convergence of an excellent growing season and new estate vineyard initiatives for the achievement of optimal fruit balance. The result is a wine of extraordinary depth and elegance. A complex bouquet of cassis, licorice and caramel reveals hints of chocolate and tobacco. The cassis and caramel notes continue into the palate with accents of black cherry and toasty oak. A gorgeously structured texture unfolds with balanced tannins into a smooth, lingering finish. The concentrated, complex flavors of our 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon are an excellent match for grilled red meats, as well as rich, flavorful cheeses and dark chocolate

Deep ruby colored, our 2005 wine shines in the glass. Blueberry and plum nuances from the Syrah complement the dark cherry and black raspberry characteristics of the Cabernet Sauvignon. Supple texture and forward fruit flavors are balanced and enhanced by aging in French and American barrels. Oak aging provides a lingering note of toasted oak and vanilla while giving breadth and depth on the palate. The wine should continue to develop over the next 4-7 years.

Sutter Home White Zinfandel is produced from red Zinfandel grapes grown in the Upper Sacramento and Northern San Joaquin valleys. The grapes for this bottling were harvested early in the growing season at low sugars and relatively high acids to maximize the freshness typical of this wine. . This wine is a classic example of the style established by Bob Trinchero when he invented the varietal 30 years ago. Delicate blush pink in color, with sweet aromas of strawberries and watermelon. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively and bursting with fruit. A light creaminess is evident, with a refreshing crisp finish. . Delicious enjoyed well-chilled as an aperitif, White Zinfandel is perfect partner to all types of foods, particularly those which have slight heat or spiciness such as Asian or Latin cuisine.

Somewhat sweet, this pink champagne offers lots of fruit and a very easy almost sweet-tooth behavior; chill well for proper service. Sparkling
